Stanley Jesse Fisher, Jr.

Stanley Jesse Fisher, Jr., 77, entered into rest on Thursday, July 21, 2023.

Stanley was born on May 16, 1946, in Macon, Georgia. He graduated from Dudley Hughes High School in 1964. From there, he joined the United States Navy Reserves, and later became active duty in 1966 where he served two years. After his military service, he went back to working at Krystal where he’d been employed in high school and worked there for ten years. He then transitioned from Krystal to Nu Way for two years before becoming a truck driver for USPS for a time. He remained a truck driver but began hauling livestock until he retired at age 65, at which time he moved back home to take care of his mother until 2019. While he didn’t have many hobbies because of the hard work he was always doing, he loved and supported the Macon Boys Club. He was a loving father, grandfather, and brother who will be dearly missed.

His parents, Stanley and Martha Fisher, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Jesse Fisher (Emily) and Shawn Fisher (Colleen); brother, Daveyjohn Fisher (Nancy); along with four grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside visitation will be Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. with a graveside service to immediately follow at 11:30 a.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery, where Stanley will be laid to rest.

The family greatly appreciates the love and care shown to Stanley by Georgia War Veterans Home and respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his memory to Georgia War Veterans Resident Benefits Fund at GWVH Activities Department, 2249 Vinson Highway, Milledgeville, GA 31061
