Steve Tucker went to be with the Lord on the afternoon of Wednesday, September 5, 2018. He was 62 years old.
Born on November 9, 1955 in Reynolds, Georgia, Steve was of the Baptist faith. He attended Northside High School in Warner Robins and worked in various construction jobs throughout Florida and Georgia. A resident of Savannah for most of his life, Steve was very intelligent, loved nature, outdoors, hunting, and designed and built boats in his free time. He had a passion for animals, especially cats.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hubert Russell Tucker, Sr.; and stepbrother, Russell Tucker, Jr.
Steve’s memory will forever be treasured by his loving mother, Jerry Tucker of Centerville; siblings, Gwen Giles (Larry) of Centerville and Edward Tucker (Rhonda) of Warner Robins; and nephews and niece, Mark Giles (Jeanne), Michael Giles (Tammy), Dalton Tucker, and Ashlee Vickery (Matt).
Visitation will be Sunday, September 9, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A private graveside funeral service for only the family will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Magnolia Park Mausoleum where Mr. Tucker will be laid to rest. Pat Chastain will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Steve to the Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia, 774 Hazel St., Macon, GA 31201.
