Steven C. Thompson, 49, of Brookfield, Missouri, died Sunday, March 13, 2011, at his home.

Memorial services with Military Honors provided by Marceline VFW will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Rhodes Funeral Home in Missouri, with Pastor Ron Adrian officiating. Memorials have been suggested to the Disabled Veterans Association and may be left at or mailed to Rhodes Funeral Home, 216 Linn Street, Brookfield, Missouri 64628.

Graveside Memorial services with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in Magnolia Park Cemetery, Warner Robins, Georgia.

Steven Craig Thompson, son of Eugene and Claire (Cute) Thompson, was born on June 24, 1961 in Greenville, South Carolina. On December 2, 1995 he was married to Leora Frances Smith. Steven was in the United States Army and served during the Grenada invasion.

Steven is survived by his wife Lori, Brookfield, Missouri; four daughters, Sandra and husband Jeremy Cashion, Brookfield, Missouri; Malinda and husband Richard Wright, Vacaville, California; Vera Thompson, Fayetteville, North Carolina; Tabatha Thompson, Sacramento, California; three sons, Stevie Thompson, Fayetteville, North Carolina; Glen Banks and John and Rhonda Banks, Marceline; His mother, Claire Thompson, Warner Robins, Georgia; sister, Cindee and husband Rickie Love, Warner Robins, Georgia; eight grandchildren, two nieces and several other relatives.

He is preceded in death by his father, grandmother, and one son, Chad.
