Steven R. Pierson

September 11, 1988 — March 31, 2016

A great husband, father, son, grandson, brother, and friend, Steven R. Pierson, 27, died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, March 31, 2016.

Steven was born on September 11, 1988 at Yokota Air Base, Japan. After Japan, Steven's family moved frequently, living in Wyoming, Louisiana, New Hampshire, and North Carolina, before settling in Warner Robins in January 1999. Always a happy, outgoing and fun-loving kid, he attended Perdue Elementary School, Feagin Mill Middle School, and Houston County High School, where he graduated with honors in 2006. Steven was not only a student scholar, but a sports enthusiast, and a hard worker at part-time jobs outside of his school activities. It was during his high school days that Steven met his high school sweetheart who would later become his wife, Tiffany Dukes. After graduating from high school, he attended Macon State University for a semester only to discover his interest was working with his hands doing what many would consider meticulously, detailed work. As such, Steven enrolled in the Electronics Technology program at then, Middle Georgia Technical College and quickly earned a Co-Op position with Robins Air Force Base – working on A-10 components and later a myriad of military aircraft avionics. Throughout his career, and even as a co-op student, Steven earned awards and recognition usually reserved for far more senior workers. Though already well on his way to a successful career, he was in his junior year of completing an IT degree with Middle Georgia State College, all the while continuing his full-time job, and most importantly, supporting his family.

In his adult life, Steven enjoyed music immensely and was an excellent self-taught guitar player. He developed and avid enthusiasm for soccer, MMA, and continued interests in baseball and football. Above all else, Steven loved his family and truly embraced the roles of husband, father, and family man. Recently celebrating 12 years together, Steven and Tiffany were married in 2013 and had been blessed with a beautiful daughter, Mila Francis Pierson, on December 27, 2012. Steven often called Tiffany and Mila "The Girls" with an obvious deep love and pride. Everything in Steven's life was focused on making "The Girls" happy.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, O.E. "Gene" Pierson, Bobbie E. Burns, and Hosea J. Beasley III.

Steven is survived by his wife and sweetheart, Tiffany, daughter, Mila, and mother and father, David and Francis Pierson, brother, Andrew Pierson, paternal grandmother, M. Jolene Pierson, and nephew, Taren Pierson, all of Warner Robins; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be Friday, April 8th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 9th in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. At the family's request, burial will be private.
