On the evening of Wednesday, March 2, 2016, Sue B. Cannon went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after a brave battle with cancer. She was 73.
Sue was born on March 4, 1942 in Elko, Georgia, one of two daughters to the late C.W. and Ruby Phillips Boland. She was a lifelong resident of the Middle Georgia Area and retired from Civil Service as a computer operator at Robins Air Force Base. Centerville Baptist was her church home.
She leaves behind her memory with her loving husband of 31 years, Dennis A. Cannon of Warner Robins; children, Sonya B. Hartzog and George Ashley Barker, Jr. (Joy), both of Warner Robins; stepchildren, Patti Schooley of Crawford County, William Cannon (Sherri) of Kansas, Dawn Lashley (Stevie) of Cobb County, Mary Mikal Parrish (Chris) of Byron, and Earl A. Cannon (Stephanie) of Houston County; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Gussie Barfield (Sammy) of Ashburn.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5th in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Dr. David Grantham officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 1:30 p.m. until service time. Following Mrs. Cannon's service, she will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
