Sue H. Johnston

Anita Sue Hill Johnston, 78, went to be with the Lord surrounded by family and friends, on Thursday, April 1, 2010.

Ms. Johnston was born on October 6, 1931 in Mobile, Alabama. She was a member of Shirley Hills Baptist Church since 1967 and attended the Reverend Joe D. Haselden Sunday School Class. Sue retired from Robins Air Force Base where she was employed as a Procurement Clerk. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm S. McLeod and Fred Melvin Hill, and brother, Jack E. Moore, all preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her former husband of thirty eight years, William "Bill" T. Johnston, Jr.; children, Lori Gaylor (Charles), Warner Robins, GA; Jody Johnston (Pamela), Sarasota, FL; grandchildren, Wimberly Tyler and Emily Johnston, step-grandchildren, Jana Warnecke and Chelsea Warnecke, siblings, Malcolm S. McLeod, III, (Shirley), Mobile, AL; Anne H. Brown, Fairhope, AL; Patsy M. Green (Robert), Clinton, MS; and her special sister at heart, Dianne N. Sallette (Edward), Eatonton, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 3, 2010, at Shirley Hills Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Shirley Hills Baptist Church. Reverend Andy Cook, Dr. Napp Granade, and Reverend Joe D. Haselden will officiate. Interment will be on Monday, April 5, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. in Pine Crest Cemetery, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, AL 36605. Memorial donations can be made to the donor's favorite charity.
