Sunanta “Sue” Kennedy, 86, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 1, 2023. Her life was a testament to strength, resilience, and the bonds of family.
Sue was born on April 17, 1937, in Suphan Buri, Thailand. Her early years were marked by hardship as she faced the loss of both her parents during World War II. Despite the challenges, she found solace and support within her close-knit family, growing up steeped in the rich traditions of her homeland. Her siblings, who became her pillars of strength, raised her with love and care. While Sue was living in Ubon, she met Ronald Kennedy, and they married in 1973. After two years of marriage, the couple made Warner Robins, Georgia, their permanent residence.
Sue worked at Ryans Steakhouse as a cook and enjoyed baking all the rolls. Her affection for cooking extended to her family and friends, where she shared her heritage by preparing traditional Thai dishes, especially her famous Spring Rolls. Beyond the kitchen, Sue had a passion for flowers, and among them, roses held a special place in her heart. Their beauty mirrored the warmth and love she radiated to everyone around her.
As we bid farewell to Sue, let us remember her as a beacon of strength, an exceptional cook, a lover of flowers, and above all, a devoted family matriarch whose legacy of love will continue to inspire generations to come.
In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her son, Steven Kennedy; and her granddaughter, Deanna Whidby.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Kai Whidby Molencamp of Warner Robins, and Sirinard Yamketsukhon, Siribol Limjoy, all of Bangkok, Thailand; grandchildren, Amorn Wisetsiri, Aimee Siripak Yamketsukhon, Chettham Aera Yamketsukhon, Afichat Limjoy, and Golffy Kamm; great-grandchild, Yanisa Hongsuwan; and a great-great-grandchild, Alin Hongsuwan.
A visition will be Monday, August 7, 2023, from 01:00 p.m. until 02:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest privately.
