A precious son, brother, and friend, Syre Maxwell Hathaway touched the many lives and hearts of those who surrounded him with boundless love and joy during his short time here on earth.
Syre was born to Micheal Smith and Camille Hathaway-Smith on June 5, 2019, in Byron. Sadly, he passed away at the tender age of four years old on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, after facing a relentless battle against cancer since the age of two. Despite the immense challenges Syre endured, his spirit remained unbreakable and smile never waned. His happiness and affection impacted the lives of all who knew him.
Syre's life was filled with simple pleasures that brought him immense joy. He had a love for swimming and danced to his heart's content while listening to his favorite songs. Among his greatest treasures were his "friends," which included Syre’s siblings and cousins. He shared an extraordinary bond with his brothers, Sebastian Hathaway, Tristan Kitsko, Kai Kitsko, and Linkin Kitsko; and cousins, Heidi Crump, Dahlia Crump, Joss Hansard, Nelly Hansard, Fred Rouse III, Honey Rouse, Emma Norell, and Madison Hathaway. Their shared laughter and adventures created unforgettable memories that will live on in our hearts.
Syre was always ready to light up a room with his infectious energy and spunk. He taught us about the enduring power of love and resilience. In the warmth of his memory, may we find solace and inspiration to live our lives with the same love and courage that defined his impactful time with us.
