Thelma A. Markham, 92, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2006. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2006 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.
Mrs. Markham was born on March 28, 1914 in South Carolina. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Warner Robins. A loving Christian wife, mother, and grandmother, her happiest moments were time spent with her family and friends. In addition to being a homemaker, Mrs. Markham volunteered at Houston Medical Center as a pink lady for several years. An avid gardener, she was a proud recipient of the Yard of the Month award. She will be fondly remembered for her many contributions to our community. Her husband, Harry Markham, and parents, William and Wilma Aycock, brothers, Claude, Clarence and Julian Aycock, all preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Beverly M. and Ronnie Sanders, Kathleen; son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Joann Markham, Browns Summit, NC; sisters, Bernice Owensby, Forest Park; and Vernelle (Charles) Weber, Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Sara (Owen) Bock, Audra White, Charles Kerry Markham, Gerald Charles Markham, and three great-grandchildren.
