Thelma Louise Padgett

Thelma Louise Hunter Padgett, 83, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, October 14, 2010.

Mrs. Padgett was born on November 7, 1926 in Abbeville, Georgia. She was employed by the Houston County Board of Education for twenty-two years before retirement, during which time she worked in the Food Industry at Tabor Middle School. A Houston Lake Baptist Church member, she was also a member of the Houston Lake Sonshiners Sunday School Class, AARP Warner Robins Senior Citizens, Centerville Seniors and Houston Lake Seniors . She was preceded in death by her son, Larry Padgett; granddaughter, Angie Moody; sister, Lucy Wilson; and parents, William Henry Hunter and Eula Mae Conner Hunter.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of sixty-six years, John H. Padgett; daughter, Elaine Moody (James), Warner Robins; sons, Alan Padgett (Patsy), Perry, and Terry Padgett, Sr., (Addie), Hawkinsville; grandchildren, Jim Moody, Brandon Moody, Bobby Padgett, Jennifer HeisterKamp, Kimberly Nowell, Terry Padgett, Jr., and Shane Padgett; ten great-grandchildren; and sister, Sara Gibbs, Abbeville.

Visitation will be Friday, October 15, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Houston Lake Baptist Church, Reverend Fred McCoy and Mike Slade officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to Houston Lake Baptist Church Building Fund, 2300 Highway 127 East, Perry GA 31069.
