Early on the morning of Saturday, August 21, 2021, Theodore “Ted” Duane Unthank passed away at Piedmont Newton Hospital.
Born on October 28, 1960, Ted was the son of the late Jackie Hudson Winters. A hard worker, he was a skilled Forklift Operator for Jordan Lumber in Barnesville. To say Ted was gifted at Softball would be an understatement. Everyone knew that when it was his turn to step up to the plate, he was going to knock it out of the park! Ted also enjoyed watching football and loved cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs. Most of all, he loved his family and was a huge teddy bear.
He is survived by his brother, David Unthank; and children, Melissa Engram, TJ Unthank, and Christi Williams.
Visitation with Ted’s family will be Thursday, August 26, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The funeral service celebrating his life will immediately follow in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Following the service, Ted will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery. For friends and family unable to attend, the service will be streamed live via the McCullough Funeral Home Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mcculloughfuneralhome/live/.
