Thomas R. Rudd, 81, passed away on Tuesday, October 09, 2007.
Mr. Rudd was born on December 20, 1925 in Keokuk, Iowa. He was a member and deacon of Northside Baptist Church, and was retired civil service as a mail carrier for the U.S. postal service. He served in the United States Air Force during World War II, the Korean and Vietnam Conflict. Mr. Rudd was a disaster services volunteer and instructor for the American Red Cross for twenty years. He also volunteered with the Rehoboth Baptist Association, the Centerville Fire Department and Houston County Medical Center Auxiliary. His parents, Herbert and Amelia Rudd, brothers, Richard and Paul Rudd and sister, Irene Dunn preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Rudd, Warner Robins; son, Thomas E. Rudd, Jr.(Sharon), Centerville; daughter, Amelia Rains (Hanson), Huntsville, Alabama; granddaughters, Meghan and Allison Rains and LeeAnn Rudd; brother, Donald Rudd, Davenport, Iowa; sister, Amy Marcella Jaffe, Chicago, Illinois; sisters-in-law, Irma Rudd and Sylvia Rudd, Keokuk, Iowa .
Visitation will be Thursday, October 11, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 12, 2007 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
