Thomas Emory Clements, 66, passed away Tuesday, December, 28, 2004 following a brief illness. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December, 31, 2004 in the chapel of Rainey Funeral Home, Cordele, Ga. with interment following at Antioch Cemetery in Crisp County, Ga. Visitation will be Thursday, December 30, 2004 from 7 until 9 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Donations may be made to Georgia Sheriff’s Boy’s Ranch, P.O box 100, Hahira, Ga. 31632.
Emory was born in Crisp County, August 21, 1938, to Elizabeth Poole Clements and the late Thomas Jefferson Clements, Jr. He served in the United States Navy and worked at Robins Air Force Base for more than thirty years before retiring as a Logistician. Emory was an avid ham radio operator and a member of the Middle Georgia Radio Association (MGRA). His father and brother Ray Dorsey Clements preceded him in death.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 47 years, Gloria Ann Jacobs Clements; children Thomas David Clements (Cheryl), Debra Carol Alexander, and Elizabeth Ann Cook (Michael), of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Thomas Jason Clements, Michael Scott Alexander, Jennifer Lynn Parks (Steven), Stacey Ann Alexander, Joshuah Michael Cook, and Michala Ann Cook, of Warner Robins; great granddaughter, Alexis Jade Alexander, of Warner Robins; mother, Elizabeth Poole Clements, of Cordele, Ga; brothers, Lee Nelson Clements, Abbeville, GA, Jerry William Clements, Walter Jefferson Clements; sister, Mary Ann Rinehart, all of Cordele, Ga.
