Thomas Robinson, 81, set sail from this earth on Friday, September 15, 2017.
Thomas was born on August 30, 1936 in Unadilla, Georgia to the late Henry and Mattie Lou Robinson. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Navy and later worked civil service at Robins Air Force Base as an Avionics Technician. Thomas was an amazing man not only to his family but to everyone he met. He had many passions but he was most passionate about wounded warriors, paralyzed vets and St. Jude. Thomas had such a positive outlook on life and was always content. He enjoyed spending time with his Camping Club, Rolling Sams, here in Warner Robins. He loved to talk and hear others laugh aloud. Thomas enjoyed meeting new people especially fellow veterans. His favorite Tin Can Sailor hat was his talking point when he met others. A man of many sayings, Thomas was known for his, “Yeah buddy” and “Every day is a good day, some are better than others”. A family man, he loved spending time with his family and his adoring grandkids. He would not be one to tell his friends and family bye but he would reply “Sell, Glad you got to see me!”
His parents and son, Michael Thomas Robinson, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife of sixty one years, Lois Robinson, children, Cindy Avery (David) of Kathleen, Barbara Greer (Conley) of Cumming, Rhonda Krirat, Wanda Robinson, both of Kathleen, Sharon Maraman (Adam) of McDonough and Mark Robinson (Gail) also of Kathleen; grandchildren, Angela, Amanda, Andrea, Josh, Joy, James, Rachel, Ryan, Jessica, Kerissa, Austin, Maranda, Ethen, Heather, Ashley, Seth, Cole and Tate; great grandchildren, Tim, Solomon, Evan, Owen, Aden, Brianna, Triston, Ryleigh, Destiny, Tyler, Zoey, Addison, Landyn and Bryce; brothers, Franklin Robinson (Joan) and Johnny Robinson (Nancy); sister, Betty Tidwell (James); brother in law, Eugene New and Tommy New; sister in law, Guynell Bowman and many nieces and nephews.
