Thomas L. Graham, Sr., 89, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 18, 2015.
Thomas was born to the late Joe S. and Laura Elkins Graham on January 30, 1926 in Wilcox County, Georgia. He joined the United States Army and proudly fought for his country with the 75th Infantry during World War II. Following his military career, Thomas went on to retire from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base as a cost accountant supervisor.
Thomas was a devoted member of Second Baptist Church and the Don Reed Sunday School Class. He enjoyed gardening and farming, and was especially known for his corn and tomatoes. Thomas loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Louise Graham; and siblings, Laura N. Mays, James Hensley Graham, Sr., and Robert Graham.
He leaves behind his loving children, Sharon G. Hogan (Michael) of Dublin and Tom Graham, Jr. (Linda) of Kathleen; grandchildren, Kelley H. Jarrard (Kyle) and Todd Hogan (Brin), both of Dublin, Rev. Travis L. Graham (Holly) of Bogart, Georgia, and Lauren G. Polk (Travis) of Kathleen; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph O. Graham (Juanita) of Centerville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Second Baptist Church with visitation at the church one hour prior to the service. Thomas will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery following the service. Rev. Mike Slade and Rev. Travis Graham will officiate.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Thomas Graham, Sr. to Hospice Care Options, 136 Hospital Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
