Thomas Lee Phillips, 80, entered into rest on Friday, July 27, 2012.

"Uncle Pete" was born on September 1, 1931 in Charlotte, North Carolina. With pride and honor he served his country in the United States Air Force having served during the Korean War. He was a member of Sharon Presbyterian Church and a 1951 graduate of East Mecklenburg High school. "Uncle Pete" also retired from the Mecklenburg Volunteer Fire Department after thirty years of service, seventeen of those years served as Chief. Warner Robins has been his home for the past eight and a half years where he enjoyed watching Nascar and the Braves. His parents, Russell and Rob Mae Phillips preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his brother, Russell Phillips, Jr (Ron), New York City, New York; sister, Jane Phillips Scanlan (James), San Diego, California; nephew, James Pike (Polly), niece, Kimberlee Pike, both of Warner Robins; great nephew, Shane Hopkins and beloved Jack Russell Terrier, Hope.
