Thomas J. McKleroy, Jr.

Thomas J. McKleroy, Jr., 84, of Warner Robins, Georgia, passed away on the morning of Wednesday, August 7, 2024.

Born and raised in Thomaston, Georgia, Thomas was the son of the late Thomas J. McKleroy, Sr. and Ruby Mae Pritchet McKleroy. At the age of 13, he and his family briefly moved to Byron before permanently settling in Warner Robins. Thomas graduated from Warner Robins High School, where he played basketball in 1958, and was an industrial arts student.

After graduation, Thomas worked at Piggly Wiggly before finding his calling in automotive repair and starting his own business. In 1961, Thomas continued to serve his community by joining the United States Postal Service, where he worked for over three decades before his retirement in 1996.

In addition to his passion of restoring vehicles, Thomas also showcased his craftsmanship in woodworking and operated his own cabinet shop. In his retirement, Thomas found happiness in fishing and traveling with his beloved wife.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by wife, Mary Angela Jackson McKleroy; son, Kraig McKleroy; and brother-in-law, Buddy Jackson.

His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Ken McKleroy of Warner Robins, Keith McKleroy (Stephanie) of Gray, and Kris McKleroy (Amanda) of Kathleen; grandchildren, Toni McKleroy, Jessie McKleroy, Kevin McKleroy, Madison McKleroy, and Savannah McKleroy; seven great-grandchildren; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Cheryl Anderson (Robert) of Kathleen, Deryl Jackson (Susan) of Blairsville, and Joyce Jackson of Centerville.

Visitation will be Friday, August 9, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2024, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Thomas J. McKleroy, Jr. will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
