Thomas Michael Covel

Thomas Michael Covel, 50, passed away on June 1, 2004 in Gainesville, Florida. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 4, at First Baptist Church in Kathleen, GA. Interment will held at a later date in Andersonville National Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, June 3 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Georgia Chapter, 12 Perimeter Center East, Suite 1200, Atlanta, GA 30346.

Mr. Covel was born in Brookville, Pennsylvania. He was an United States Air Force Veteran and served in the Vietnam War. He received an Air Force Longevity Service award; Air Force Good Conduct Medal with One Oak Leaf Cluster; and a National Defense Service Medal. Mr. Covel worked in the Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base and was a Sunday School Teacher. His parents, Robert David and Ruth Marie Covel, preceded him in death.

Survivors include, wife, Marilyn S. Covel, Warner Robins, GA; sons, James Russell Lehman, Perry, GA; Philip Frederick Lehman (Angela), Kathleen, GA; brother, Robert Cornell Covel, Carrolton, GA; sister, Sue Snell, Brookville, PA; sister, Margaret Jean Vossburg, Erie, PA; grandchildren, Hannah Grace Lehman and Micah Andrew Lehman.
