Thomasine "Tommie" Hinton Marley

Thomasine “Tommie” Hinton Marley passed away peacefully on March 18, 2025, at the age of 84. She was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on July 27, 1940, to Beatrice Vance, and Fred Hinton.

Those who knew her loved her. She could brighten any room with her bubbling personality and smile. She was very proud of her achievement of earning her licensed practical nurse (LPN) while raising her children. With her LPN she worked numerous years in doctor’s offices and nursing facilities in which she cared for patients to provide them comfort and care. She was a member of First Baptist Church Perry for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse AJ Marley of 54 years, brother Allen Hinton, and sister Lucy Miley.

She is survived by her children, Marva Cruse (William), James “Michael” Marley (Sharon), and Mark Marley (Donna), six grandchildren Stephanie Marley, Abby Latendress, Alex Latendress (Samantha), Heather Carter (Greg), Kevin Marley, Brandon Marley (Brittany), numerous great grandchildren, and great-great children.

Celebration of Life will be held at First Baptist Church Perry on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
