Timothy "Tim" Lynn Creel

Tim Creel, 58, passed away at Houston Medical Center on Wednesday, September 22, 2021.

Born on May 25, 1963, in Tampa, Florida, Mr. Creel was the son of the late Jimmy Doyal and Shirley Ann Overstreet Creel. He proudly earned his BBA from Georgia Southern University before working as a Store Manager at Friedman’s Jewelers for 15 years. Most recently, Mr. Creel worked as a Banker for Wells Fargo; he started his banking career in 2010 and loved his Wells Fargo family. Mr. Creel was a devoted father and especially enjoyed spending time with his sons. They would go hunting, fishing, and would often catch a game of football together. Mr. Creel also loved to grill and made the best milkshakes ever! He was dearly loved by his family and friends, and will be sorely missed by all.

His memory will forever be treasured by his sons, Shaw Creel, Weston Creel, and Cole Creel; brother and sister-in-law, Mitch Creel (Sherry); niece, Makenna Jarriel (Heath); great-niece, Hallie Cole Jarriel; uncles and aunts, Tommy and Jeannie Womble, Jerry and Peggy Creel, Larry and Leanne Overstreet, and Jimmy Williams; as well as a host of extended family members and friends, including many close cousins. Mr. Creel was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation with Mr. Creel’s family will be held on Monday, September 27, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church. The funeral service celebrating his life will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Walls and Pastor Jerry Creel officiating. Following the service, Mr. Creel will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
