Tommy Michael Lee, a beloved resident of Bonaire, joined his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in Heaven on Sunday, October 8, 2023. He leaves behind a legacy full of love, laughter, and dedication to his family and friends.
Tommy was born in Savannah on August 23, 1952, to the late Willie Napier and Melba Carol Jarrell Lee. He cherished the moments spent with his loved ones and Tommy’s faith played a central role in his life. His love for Jesus was evident in his everyday actions, and imparted this profound faith to his children. Tommy, alongside his father, mother, and brothers were cornerstones of Lee and Sons Construction, carrying on a family legacy that his father and mother established. He worked alongside his brothers, contributing to the success of the business. Tommy also pursued a career as a truck driver, showcasing his dedication and determination in all his endeavors.
Demonstrating his commitment to his community and leadership, Tommy was an active member and former president of the Jaycee's, with the highest membership at the time. Another favorite pastime of Tommy’s was tending to his yard and landscaping. He was also a fervent supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs. Above all, Tommy Michael Lee will be remembered as a loving father, a cherished "Pa-Pa," and a devoted brother. His presence brightened the lives of those around him, and his memory will continue to do so in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
His memory will be cherished by his wife, Martha Lynn Sorrow Lee; children, Sheldon Napier Lee (Zephyr) of Glendale, California, Elizabeth Lee Brown (Jonathan) of Cochran, and William Thomas Lee (Lauren) of Perry; grandchildren, Owen Lee, Hudson Brown, Hadley Brown, and Truett Lee; siblings, Carol Mann (Harold) of Seymour, Tennessee, Ronald Aubrey Lee (Cathy) of Bonaire, and Christopher Neil Lee of Warner Robins; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 13, 2023, at McCullough Funeral Home with a service following at 4:30 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. A celebration of life for friends and family will immediately follow at The Farmhouse behind McCullough Funeral Home.
