Travis Forest Bateman

Travis F. Bateman, 85, left this world to join his beloved wife, Betty, in heaven on Wednesday, July 20, 2016.

Travis was born on October 6, 1930 in Eastman, Georgia to the late Forest and Iona Pace Bateman. He was a proud 10-year veteran of the Army National Guard and retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. The Assembly at Warner Robins was his church home.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Bateman was also preceded in death by his brother, Donald Bateman.

He leaves his memory behind with his loving sons, Dan Bateman (Melane) of Byron and Dwayne Bateman (Candace) of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Kyle Bateman, Deanna Shirts (Darius), and Kerri, Wesley, and Eric Bateman; siblings, Doris Scott, Perry Bateman, Melba Rowland, Elene Johnson, Linda Walston, Wendell Bateman, Carol Sarrow, Carolyn Kory, and Brenda Creamer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 23rd from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 24th at The Assembly at Warner Robins with Pastor Mark Merrill and Pastor Dennis Clark officiating. Following the service, Mr. Bateman will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery with military honors.
