Truman R. Browning

Truman R. Browning, 79, entered into rest on, April 9, 2009.

Mr. Browning was born on August 2, 1929 in Lumber City, Georgia. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Army and participated in the Korean Conflict where he received a Sigmund Rea Citation, as well as an U.S. Presidential Citation. A lifetime member of the Disabled Veterans, he was a Purple Heart recipient. After retirement from his military career in Aircraft Maintenance, he worked for thirty-three years in civil service and medically retired in 1984. He called Second Baptist Church in Warner Robins his church home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lollie Clara Coleman Browning; sons, Theodore Browning and Larry Browning; and parents, Otis Redding Browning and Fannie Mae McAlum Browning.

His memory will forever be treasured by his daughters, Judy Browning, Jacksonville, and Rhonda Faith Honea, Kennesaw, Georgia; grandchildren, Shelly, Jesse, Jeremiah, Matthew and Gabriel Honea, all Atlanta, and Rudy Pue, Jacksonville.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 14, 2009 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Pastor Lynda DiCandio officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
