Tsgt. Burgin C. Smiddy, Usaf (Ret.)

On Tuesday, August 4, 2015, Burgin C. Smiddy, 69, walked into Heaven to join his beloved wife, Ko So Cha Smiddy.

Born on July 7, 1946 in Briceville, Tennessee, Burgin proudly served in the United States Air Force and retired with the rank of Tech Sergeant. Following his military career, he worked with Lafarge North America. Mr. Smiddy called Central Baptist his church home. Most of his spare time was spent at the Huddle House.

In addition to his wife; his parents, Shirley Z. and Louisa Wilson Smiddy; and brother, Douglas Smiddy, preceded him in death.

Burgin's memory will forever be treasured by his loving sons, Randy Smiddy (Jessica), Tim Smiddy (Esta), and Mark Smiddy (Ally), all of Rocky Top, Tennessee; grandchildren, Chyan, Austin, Adalyn, and Jayden Smiddy; brother, Ronald Dale Smiddy of Rocky Top, Tennessee; nieces and nephews, Vickie, Karen, Ronald Douglas, Ronald Dale, Angie, Dennis, and Jamie; and special friends, Bill Cameron, Lee Johnson, Barbara and Paul Massey, and Ginger and kids.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2015 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with visitation two hours prior to the service. After the funeral, Mr. Smiddy will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
