Eric Joseph Espinosa, devoted husband, father, son, and brother, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 6, 2017. He was 44.
Eric was born in Alamosa, Colorado on February 19, 1972. Following high school graduation, he joined the United States Army and then transferred into the United States Air Force. Eric retired from the military with the rank of Tech Sergeant. Subsequent to his military career, he went on to work in Civil Service with IT/Electronics at Robins Air Force Base. Eric attended St. Patrick Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Ross Espinosa.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 24 years, Sandy Espinosa and their son, Eric Espinosa, Jr., both of Kathleen; daughter, Augustina Espinosa of Atlanta; mother, Sharon Ann Espinosa of Center, Colorado; sister, Chasity Tara Espinosa of Alamosa, Colorado; brother, Gary Espinosa of Warner Robins; and stepmother, Carolyn Espinosa of Alamosa, Colorado.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 10th in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Eric will be laid to rest in Andersonville National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. with Full Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Eric to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256 or to Jace Cumbie's cancer fund, 604 Old Perry Road, Kathleen, GA 31047.
