James Earl Galloway, 81, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 1, 2014.
James was born on January 16, 1932 in Brighton, Alabama to the late Samuel L. and Alice Cole Galloway. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and retired with the rank of Tech Sergeant. James went on to retire from Robins Air Force Base after over twenty years of committed years of civil service. He was of the Methodist faith. Eight siblings preceded James in death, Helen, Samuel Lewis, Hyacinth, Lula, Vivian, Walter, Harold and Donald.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of fifty years, Mary Crowe Galloway, Warner Robins; sons, Nelson Earl Galloway and Edward E. Galloway (Nola), both of Warner Robins; grandson, Nelson S. Galloway, Houston, Texas; great grandchildren, Treveon and Samone, both of Houston, Texas; sisters, Doris Jackson, Emily Groome, and Roseland Greene (George), all of Detroit, Michigan; brother-in-law, James E. Crowe, Houston, Texas; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 5, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 6, 2014 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
