TSgt. James “Jim” W. McCauley, 38, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2007 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
TSgt. McCauley was born on March 21, 1968 in Holyoke, MA. He was a member of Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, NC. With honor and pride, he was currently serving in the United States Air Force. He had been stationed at Robins Air Force Base for two years. TSgt. McCauley had recently returned from a six month deployment in Iraq where he proudly served as a member of the 5th Combat Communications Group. In addition to his courageous career, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, loved music, was a scratch golfer, and a true sports fan.
He will be missed by his wife, Tomoko McCauley, children, Tyler, Towa, and Taishi McCauley, all of Kanagawa, Japan; parents, John and Barbara McCauley, St. Pauls, NC; sister, Annette Griffin (Jeff), Hampstead, NH; brother, John McCauley (Ricki), Olathe, KS; and several loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Rogers & Breece Funeral Home (500 Ramsey Street Fayetteville, NC 28301). Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 17, at Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church.
