James William "Jim" Ramshur, 79, entered into rest on Friday, July 5, 2013.
Jim was born on October 3, 1933 in Redford, Missouri and was of the Episcopal faith. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for twenty years retiring with the rank of Tech Sergeant. Jim also retired after thirty years from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base as WS14 Unit Chief. He was a 32nd Degree Mason with the Crawford Lodge #689 and a charter member of William A. Davis Daylight Lodge #753. Jim was also a dual member of the Marshall Weir Lodge #448 and Mickey Fuller Lodge # 720. His son, Ronnie Ramshur; parents, Boyd and Ada Ramshur; and brother, Loren Ramshur, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Janette Anne Ramshur of Byron, Georgia; children, Randy J. Ramshur (Patty) of Buckley, Washington, Lance V. Ramshur of Apple Valley, California and Chief Marina R. Ramshur, USN (Ret) of Dallas, Georgia; grandchildren, Dr. Scott Ramshur (Dr. Lauren), Chief Nicholas Ramshur, USN (Naomi), Christopher Ramshur and Joshua Ramshur; great-grandchildren, Ellie, Emma-Grace, Camron, Elizabeth and Meghan; siblings, Erlene Devries of Michigan, and Mary Wyatt and Robert "Bob" Ramshur, both of Missouri; and many loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside Episcopal Committal Service will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens followed by Military Honors and Masonic Honors.
