John David Walters, 64, entered into rest on Saturday, July 20, 2013.

Dave was born on November 3, 1948, in Atlanta, Georgia. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam Era and later retired from the US Air Force. Dave loved cars, fishing and Georgia Bulldog football. His parents, John Clinton and Laura Kilgore Walters, and brother, Larry Walters, all preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of forty-three years, Mary Ann Walters, his daughter, Kimberly Ann Johnson (David), Kathleen; grandchildren, Kalan Threlkeld (Kayley Leser), Zachary Johnson, Benjamin Johnson and Alexander Johnson; great-grandson, Reed Alexander Threlkeld; siblings, Phyllis Rady (Keith), Villa Rica; Rhonda O'Leary (Joe), Lithia Springs; Steve Walters, Powder Springs; Kenny Walters, Douglasville, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 23, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Ste. A., Macon, Georgia, 31201.
