Tsgt John Richard Bostwick

TSgt. John Richard "Shakey" Bostwick, Sr., 72, entered into rest on June 21, 2010.

Mr. Bostwick was born on November 12, 1937 in Hammond, Indiana. With great pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Tech Sergeant. John was also the owner of Bostwick Automotive Repair in Bonaire where he served his community for many years. Mr. Bostwick was a faithful member of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church where he was an usher for the church family. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Trost Bostwick; father, James Bostwick; and mother, Margaret Hager Reichart.

His memory will be forever treasured by his loving wife, Katheryn Reed Ferry-Bostwick, Warner Robins; daughter, Deborah Shepard (Brian), Warner Robins; son, John R. Bostwick, Jr. (Amy), Auburndale, FL; step-sons, Donald, John, and Adam Ferry, all of Warner Robins; brothers, George Reichart and Joe Reichert, both of IL; sister, Barbara Bennett, IL; grandchildren, Kalyann and Isabella Bostwick, Lindsey, Emily, and Ashley Shepard, and Billie Jo Bostwick.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church with interment following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, 830 Poplar Street, Macon, 31201.
