Johnny Moore, entered into rest on Friday, September 2, 2016, two days shy of his 82nd birthday.
Johnny was born on September 4, 1934 in Ila, Georgia to the late Clarence Moore and Janie Carson. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Air Force until his retirement. Johnny continued working and later retired from Riverwood Paper Mill and Brown's Trucking. He loved to barbecue, fish and work in his koi fish pond with his beloved dog, Phoenix. Mostly, Johnny loved his family and the time spent with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 59 years, Francine Moore; daughters, Patricia Dobbs (Clyde) and Gail Moore, both of Macon; sons, Terry Moore (Debbie) of Warner Robins and Victor Moore (Flori) of Chesapeake, Virginia; grandchildren, Sean Moore (Kendra), Danielle Steele (Joe), Brett Moore, Christopher Moore, Johnny Michael Moore and Megan Francine Moore, Amia Dixon (Terrence) and Monika Taliaferro (Jason); ten great grandchildren and several extended family members.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 6, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Byron. Afterwards, Mr. Moore will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Mausoleum.
