TSgt Olin J. Barrow, USAF (Ret.), 76, died Monday, March 24, 2003. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 27, at 11:00am in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, with interment following in Bonaire Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00pm at McCullough Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association, Houston County Division, 134 Cherren Dale Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
A native of Panama City, FL, TSgt Barrow had been a resident of Bonaire since 1960, when he moved here from Tyndall AFB, Panama City, FL. He enlisted in the United States Army during WWII, and then served in the Naval Reserve Force before joining the Air Force. TSgt Barrow was retired from the US Air Force after 26 years of military service, receiving honors for his service during the Korean Conflict. He was owner/operator of Barrow Backhoe Service and an avid racecar fan and fisherman. He was of Baptist faith. His parents, Gadie and Lessie Barrow, and son, Thomas Clayton Barrow, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Laverne Thompson Barrow, Bonaire; daughters, Rosalynd Deakle, Mobile, AL, and Charlotte Barrow, Macon; sons, Jason Jackson Barrow, Warner Robins, and Jeremy Wade Barrow, Macon; brother, Earlin Barrow, Panama City, FL; sister, Elsie Wicks, Gainesville, FL; grandson, Trevor Barrow; four other grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
McCullough Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
