Richard Douglas Eppler Sr., 81, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2014.
Richard was born on April 25, 1933 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. He proudly severed in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam Era retiring with the rank of Tech Sergeant. He also retired from the United States Postal Service. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Association Post 6605, and part of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Cootie Club . He enjoyed wood working and golfing with his friends. His parents, John Eppler and Emma Robinson Marshall, and sisters; Ruth Marshall and Edna Eppler, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of sixty years, Eunice Eppler, daughter, Linda Eppler, son, Doug Eppler(Diane Eppler), granddaughter, Charity Fowler, his four great-grandchildren, sister, Mary Marshall, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Magnolia Park Cemetery with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to your favorite charity.
