TSgt. Richard Thomas Quick

In loving memory of our father, TSgt. Richard Thomas Quick, USAF, who passed away on May 28, 2024, at the age of 73.

As his family, we want to honor his life and love in memorial, being a husband, a father, and a brother. After graduation from Blairsville Senior High School in 1970, Richard kickstarted his military career in the United States Air Force serving from 1970 to 1977 with an honorable discharge. He then re-enlisted in 1983 until retiring as a Technical Sergeant in 1996. He served in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm from 1990 to 1996. 

Richard met the love of his life, Merlinda, while he was stationed in the Philippines. He knew he loved her only one week after meeting her; they just celebrated their 50^th Wedding Anniversary this year. 

Richard is survived by his wife, Merlinda; daughters, Honey Lynn Moore (Greg Moore) and Catherine Quick; sister, Wanita Ellison (Bob Ellison); brother, Dennis Quick; preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Eugene Quick and Grace Marie Short Quick; brothers, William “Bill” C. Quick and Kenneth C. Quick.
