Delmer V. Hood, 80, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2014.
Delmer was born on May 10, 1934 in Saint Louis, Missouri. He proudly served in the United States Air Force working on jet engines during the Vietnam Era retiring with the rank of Tech Sergeant. He also retired from Stalnaker Plastics as a Production Worker. He loved to solve puzzles in his free time. His parents, Delbert and Delia Hood preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his daughters, Joyce Taylor (Claude) of Bonneau, South Carolina, Natalie Brenner (Charles) of Moncure, North Carolina, and Paula Cooper (Jeffery) of Voltaire, North Dakota; grandchildren, Cheyenne Powell, Corrie Taylor, David Worthington, Kenny Stewart, Zackery Reagin, and Allison Schatz; and great-grandson, Kasey Taylor.
His family would like the sincerely thank Gentiva Hospice and their staff for all their encouragement and help during this difficult time.
Visitation will be Wednesday June 25, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12:00p.m in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia at 2:30 p.m. with military honors.
