Clayton Vance "Van" Hamm, 59, a loving son and brother, entered into rest on August 18, 2010, after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Hamm was born on October 11, 1950, in Macon and lived all his life in the middle Georgia area. He was a high school Golden Glove Boxer and a 1968 graduate from Warner Robins High School. He attended Georgia College after graduating from Jacksonville, Florida, as a Computer Programmer. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Army. He was later employed by the City of Warner Robins Water Department as a technician. Van attended Centerville Church of Christ. His father, Clayton Avera Hamm, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his mother, Hilma McLendon Hamm; siblings, C. Wayne Hamm (Desi), Linda Pounds (Gerald) and Susan Toole, all of Warner Robins; nieces and nephews, Tammy Trammell, Mark A. Hamm, Kenneth W. Hamm, Jonathan Pounds, Timothy Pounds, Angela M. Toole, Jeremiah C. Toole and Brandon J. Toole; and a number of great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, August 20, 2010, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2010, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Minster Kenneth Wayne Hamm officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery.
