Vanessa Lynn Basting

Vanessa Lynn Basting, 51, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2005 at Houston Medical Center. Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 9, 2005 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 8, 2005 from 7 until 9 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation, P O Box 96280 Washington, DC 20077 and the Vanessa Lynn Basting Memorial Fund.

Mrs. Basting was born in Fairbanks, Alaska. She was of the Methodist faith. Her parents, Charles Smith and Barbara Randall, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of twenty years, James W. Basting, Sr., Warner Robins; children, Paige Sapp, Toccoa, Georgia; Brian Howell, Houston, Texas; Chad Wray, Killeen, Texas (Fort Hood); Tyler Wray, Warner Robins; step- children, Jim Basting, Mississippi; Scotty Basting, Asheville, North Carolina; Joey Basting, Asheville, North Carolina; Mark Basting, Little Rock, Arkansas; Brian Howell, Houston, Texas; Chad Wray, Killeen, Texas (Fort Hood); Tyler Wray, Warner Robins; grandchildren, Kyle Wray; Holdon Wray; Gracin Sapp; Lindsey Wray; Landon Wray; Logan Wray; Madison Howell; step-mother, Nina Smith, Warner Robins; sisters, Kathy Deason, Brunswick, Georgia; Cheryl Smith, Perry, Georgia; Pamela Murray, Perry, Georgia; Cindy Marlin, Byron, Georgia; Kimberly Tuggle, Nashville, Tennessee.
