Vera Delores Mcdonald

Vera McDonald, 84, entered into rest on Saturday, October 14, 2017.

Vera was born on May 21, 1933 in Hawkinsville, Georgia to the late Edward and Annie May. For many years, she owned and operated “Weddings by Vera”. She enjoyed her catering business and took great passion in helping others. Vera was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Victor “Tommy” Simerly; two brothers and three sisters.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband, Bobby McDonald, children, Andre “Andy” Simerly of Byron, Robert “Scotty” McDonald (Carol) of Virginia Beach and Joseph “Terry” McDonald (Laura) of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Justin Simerly, Natalie Simerly, Ian McDonald, Daly McDonald, Anna McDonald and Cameron McDonald; siblings, Barbara Cross (Lee), Opal David (Don), Larry May (June), Shirley Reece (Floyd) and Faye Scott.

Visitation will be Monday, October 16, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterwards, Mrs. McDonald will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Mausoleum.

McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with Mrs. McDonald's arrangements.
