Vera F. Martin

Vera F. Lemon Martin, 44, entered into rest on Tuesday, March 10, 2009.

Mrs. Martin was born on February 2, 1965 in Chesapeake, Virginia. A devoted homemaker, she worked as a cashier at Walgreen's in Hawkinsville and was a partner at Martin Roofing Company. She attended Harvest Cathedral, loved gardening and especially loved her family. She was raised by her grandparents, Vera Duke and Augustuas Duke, Jr., who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her father, Henry Walton.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband, Ronnie Martin; step-daughter, Tara Leigh Martin, Warner Robins; mother, Jamie Yancy, and step-father, Gregory Yancy, both Chesapeake, Virginia; mother-in-law, Lunell Martin, Warner Robins; brothers, Karl Lemon, Oliver Baker and Richmond Baker; and sisters, Vernell Lemon, Jordeen Lemon and Taraja Garden.

Visitation will be Friday, March 13, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2009 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
