Vera M. Rutherford

Mrs. Vera M. Rutherford, Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on Sunday September 30, 2007. Vera was the wife of the late Major (USAF Retired) Dallas J. Rutherford. She was also preceded in death by her parents Grace Towers Vellinger and Anthony Joseph Vellinger. She was native of Lafayette, Indiana. Vera lived in many places during her husband military career. She moved to Warner Robins in 1961 from Harmon AFB, Newfoundland. The past four years she was a resident of Antebellum Grove assisted living community. She was an avid bird watcher, lover of sports and travel. Her greatest pleasure was visiting with her family.

Survivors include her sons, Dallas R. Rutherford (Elaine), Dennis J Rutherford (Margaret) grandchildren: Lisa Kilinski (Mike), Dallas Rutherford (Tabatha), David Rutherford (Sara), Amy Rutherford Green (Jay) and Joy Rutherford; nine great grand children and one sister, Anita V. Dimmitt.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 2, 2007, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00 on Wednesday, October 3, 2007, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
