Vernon L. Register, 78, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2008.
Mr. Register was born on August 10, 1929, in Morven, Georgia. He served his country for two years in the U. S. Navy and, subsequently, as a civil servant at Robins Air Force Base, retiring after 29 years as an Electronics Technician. Mr. Register was of the Baptist faith. His parents, James L. Register and Nancy Jane Register, sister, Eloise M. Willis, and brothers, Julius Register and Earl Dean Register, all preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Hettie Register, Warner Robins; daughters, Peggy Correia (John), Hawkinsville and Vickie Denman, Warner Robins; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sister, Alma F. Register, Warner Robins; brothers, James N. Register (Audrey), Tennessee, Merle Register (Chris), Macon and Lowell Register (Janice), Macon.
Visitation will be Friday, February 1, 2008, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2008, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Macon Chapter, 804 Cherry Street, Macon GA 31201
