Versa Mcever Shepherd

Versa McEver Shepherd, 69, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2008.

Mrs. Shepherd was born on February 8, 1938 in Moultrie, Georgia. She was a graduate of Warner Robins High School. She was a member Houston Lake Baptist Church. As well as being a homemaker, she and her husband, Robert M. Shepherd, Sr., served the Warner Robins community as the co-owners of Shepherd's Pharmacy. Her life was her family, as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; she lived to fulfill the needs of her family. She enjoyed gardening and arranging flowers. Her husband, Robert M. Shepherd, Sr., parents, Virgle and Mary Johnson McEver, son, Robert M. Shepherd, Jr., brother, Dr. Virgle Washington McEver, Jr., preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughters, Linda Morse (Garrett) and Patti McCurdy (Michael), Warner Robins; sister, Vivian McEver Key, Warner Robins; brother, Lt. Col. Walter Jimmie McEver, USAF (Ret.), Kennesaw; sister-in-law, Amy McEver, Warner Robins; grandchildren, Amanda Wood, Kristan Hunt, Sarah Morse, Dillon and Seth Shepherd; great-grandchildren, Allison Wood; beloved family friend, Dawn Martin.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 9, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 10, 2008, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
