Vicki J. Stanescu, 52, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2006 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2006 at Northview United Methodist Church with interment following at Parkway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to Northview United Methodist Church, 90 Tabor Drive, Warner Robins, Georgia 31093.
Ms. Stanescu was born in Riverside, California, on May 12, 1953. She was a member of Northview United Methodist Church in Warner Robins. In addition to being a homemaker, Ms. Stanescu delivered the Macon Telegraph in downtown Macon. During the 1970’s she was Commissions Manager for the drive-in theater in Perry prior to running the Twin Cinema in Hartwell, Georgia in the 1970’s. She also was honored with an award for the Artist with Disabilities in Atlanta in the 1980’s. In addition to this honor, two children’s coloring books of her original drawings were also published.
Her parents, Vincent T. Stanescu, Sr. and Bette R. Stanescu, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her brothers, Vincent Ted Stanescu, Jr. (Pamela), Warner Robins, Georgia, and Jim La Borde (Arlene), Boulder Creek, California; Nieces and Nephews, Penelope Stanescu, Vasile Stanescu and James Stanescu; and Great-Nephew , David Kohler-Stanescu.
