Vicky Diane Bohn, 63, of Dexter, Michigan, passed away at Houston Medical Center on Friday, August 30, 2024. Born on September 25, 1960, Vicky was the daughter of the late Clifford Petosky and Judith Bolzmen (Eberts). In addition to her parents, Vicky was preceded in death by her brothers, Jeffrey Petosky and Robbie Eberts.
As a young girl, Vicky worked alongside her father at a family-owned gas station. She then started cooking at the Holiday Inn in Grayling, Michigan, and her commitment to excellence continued as she pursued a career as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Her work ethic was exemplary, and her kindness and care touched countless lives.
Outside of her professional life, Vicky was a woman of many talents and interests. She had a passion for crafts, sewing, and quilting, creating beautiful works of art that she generously shared with others. Her active involvement in both Southside Baptist Church and Mikado Baptist Church was a reflection of her deep faith and service. Vicky led Awanas, crafted cookie jars for widows and men’s homes, and made quilts for new mothers. Her creativity extended to making purses and selling them online, and her culinary skills were a delight to all who had the pleasure of enjoying her cooking and baking.
Even when faced with her own illness, Vicky continued to care for others with grace and a smile. Her selflessness and tireless spirit were evident in everything she did, from working with children of addicted mothers to feeding and supporting her neighbors.
Vicky is remembered for her nurturing heart and commitment to making the world a better place. She leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and creativity.
Left to cherish in her memory is her husband of 33 years, Michael Joseph Bohn; children, Bradley Canfield (Autumn) of Greenville, North Carolina, Patricia Canfield of Midway, Georgia, Alexander Bohn of Warner Robins, and Jeremiah Bohn of Athens, Georgia; grandchildren, Kaleb, Logan, and Micah Canfield, Dylan Orchard, and Ryleigh Abruzzo; sister, Becky Ricks of Indianapolis, Indiana; as well as several other beloved extended family members and friends.
