Warner Robins – Victoria Marie Bergles, 94, affectionately known as Aunt Vicki to friends and family, passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday morning, March 3, 2010.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, to John and Victoria Bergles, she led a dynamic and diverse life in both her career and personal endeavors. As an executive administrative assistant for the White Motor Corporation, she was a pioneer for professional women of her generation. Vicki's work evoked her independent spirit, realized through foreign travel and even driving her own car at a time when many women were solely homemakers.
Following her retirement, Vicki dedicated her industrious nature to the service of her church and family. She volunteered her services to the church and priests of St. Francis of Cleveland. She also spent years as the primary caregiver to her mother. After her mother's passing, she resided in Wadsworth, Ohio with her beloved sister and brother, Marie Birtic and Edward Bergles, respectively.
Vicki spent the last five years residing in Warner Robins, Georgia with her niece and survivor, Nancy West. She is also survived by Nancy's children and grandson, her nephew, Michael Birtic, and his children and grandchildren, and her nephew John Bergles and his family.
Aunt Vicki's life will be celebrated and remembered as her family and friend draw inspiration from her independent spirit and dedication to those she loved.
