Vincent Joseph Connolly

Vincent Joseph Connolly, 82, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 19, 2014.

Vincent was born on March 15, 1931 in Dorchester, Massachusetts to the late Fredrick H. Connolly and Katherine G. McGinley Connolly. For over forty years he was a charter member of Christ United Methodist Church. Vincent always found friends in everyone; he loved to help people and was a true gentleman. Passionate about his family, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. Vincent was proud of his Irish heritage, enjoyed listening to Irish music, loved poetry and ALWAYS wore his hat. He was active in Full Gospel Business Men Fellowship and the Prison Ministries. With pride and honor he served his country in the United States Air Force. After many years of dedicated employment as a Logistics' Officer in civil service at Robins Air Force Base he retired. His parents and his beloved wife of fifty nine years, Myrtle Eileen Connolly, and brothers, Charlie, Fredrick, Alphonsus, and Paul Connolly, all preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Michael Kevin Connolly (Margo), Houston, Texas; Terrance Joseph Connolly (Debra), Williamson, Georgia; Jeaninne Connolly Baumann, Stafford, Virginia; Matthew Connolly (Eva), Atlanta, Georgia; sister, Kathleen Mitchell, Catlett, Virginia; grandchildren, Sharon Connolly Ross, James Connolly (Kimmie), Amy Connolly Mackey, Tony Baumann, Jr. (Andrea), Megan Connolly, Christopher Baumann (Stephanie), Kaitlyn Baumann; great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Vincent, Mary Kell, Lillian and Abbigail; and dear friend, Wendy McGinnis.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Christ United Methodist Church. The family will greet visitors at the church from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 511 Russell Parkway, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
