Ginny Anderson, 88, entered into rest on Monday, December 17, 2012.
Mrs. Anderson was born on December 22, 1923 in Griffin, Georgia to the late Edwin Elijah Cook and Mary Etta Coggins Cook. A wonderful homemaker and devoted wife, she loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with all her heart. Ginny was a passionate seamstress who loved to socialize. She was a faithful member of Centerville United Methodist Church and President of Lydia Circle at Christ United Methodist Church in Warner Robins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by eleven sisters and six brothers.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of sixty-eight years, John William Anderson, Warner Robins; children, Mary Mathis, Stone Mountain, Georgia; Bonnie Combes (Richard), Fripp Island, South Carolina; John W. Anderson II (Laura), San Bernardino, California; and Elizabeth Keaney (Tim), Gray, Georgia; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 20, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 21, 2012 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following at 3:00 p.m. in Fincher Memorial Cemetery, Meansville, (Pike County) Georgia. The family will accept flowers, or donations may be made to Hospice Care Options, 136 Hospital Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088 or Centerville United Methodist Church, 600 N. Houston Lake Blvd, Centerville, GA 31028.
