Virginia C. "Jenny" Neely

Virginia C. "Jenny" Neely, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to be entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 4, 2020. She was 84 years old.

Jenny was born in Asco, West Virginia, on July 22, 1935, to the late Rufus and Marie Large. She was married to the late James A. Neely for 64 years. A past resident of Pineville, West Virginia, she retired from the Wyoming County Board of Education and was a member of the Pineville Garden Club, an avid square dancer, and Bridge player. Jenny was most recently a resident of Bonaire, Georgia and member of Bonaire First Baptist Church where she loved participating in the Ladies Sunday School classes. She was also a member of the Cantrell Center where she enjoyed water aerobics classes. Jenny absolutely loved spending time with her family and friends, visiting the beach, making ceramics, painting, and playing Bunco.

Virginia’s memory will forever be held by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Robert Pennington; her grandchildren, Brooke and Nicholas Pennington; her sister, Edna Jackson of New Carlisle, Ohio; her brother and sister-in-law, John and Edith Large of Kettering, Ohio; her special fur baby, “Mitzi;” and many other family members and lifelong friends that she loved dearly.

A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Bonaire First Baptist Church with Pastor Kenny Rodgers officiating. For friends unable to attend at this time, the service will be streamed live via the McCullough Funeral Home Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mcculloughfuneralhome/live/.
