Virginia Drinkard

Virginia Drinkard, 84, entered into rest on Friday, July 17, 2015.

Virginia was born on June 22, 1931 in Union Point, Georgia to the late Byron and Frances Simpson. She loved old Western movies, gospel music and dearly loved her pets, especially Sasha.

Her parents and sister, Betty Simpson Johnson preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving and devoted husband, Howard Drinkard of Byron; son, John "Butch" Jackson (Hilda) of Siloam; stepdaughter, Bonnie Barfield (Wayne) of Warner Robins; stepson, Dale Drinkard (Marina) of Suwanee; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister, Brenda Bundy of Greensboro; and nieces and nephews; Kelley Coyne (Gary), of Covington; Doug Jones (Emily) of Ellijay; Jim Hubbard of Greensboro and Julie Siegel (Mark) of Hoschton.

The family will greet friends Monday, July 20, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home with Funeral Services following in the chapel. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Green Lawn Cemetery in Union Point, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Virginia Simpson Drinkard to American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Suite A, Macon, Georgia 31201.
