Virginia “Ginny” B. Puckett, 81, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2006. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 6, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. A private committal service will take place in Andersonville National Cemetery. Mrs. Puckett was born on November 4, 1924 in Mitchellville, Iowa. She was a homemaker. An avid gardener, she was a member of the Hall of Fame Garden Club Federation, a member of the National Council Garden Club in Kansas and a life-member of the Florida Federation Garden Club in Winter Park, FL. She was of the Baptist faith and was past organist at Missions By the Sea Church for over twenty years. Her husband, Raymond C. Puckett, daughter, Constance R. Copeland, and parents, Vernon and Thelma Haning Bailey, all preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son, Bret V. Puckett, Kathleen; grandchildren, Matthew Puckett, Havana, FL; Melissa Puckett, Crawfordville, FL; Tommy Copeland, Charleston, SC; and Carol Copeland, Clinton, SC.
